Our People

Our staff are what makes Sunnymeade Quality Care Home such a special place to live.

Our Care Team

Our staff are what makes Sunnymeade Quality Care Home such a special place to live. They create a warm and welcoming home where our residents receive the best in professional care, whilst respecting their dignity and individual needs. Every member of staff responsible for caring for residents at the home holds the minimum National Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care.

The home is run by a team of managers who are passionate about providing the very best support to residents and staff alike

Our Director

wendy adams

Our Director, Wendy Adams, is a qualified nurse, who has been involved in caring for the elderly at management level for over 30 years. Her interest in providing the best possible outcomes for the elderly in care began many years ago, when she worked within the community for the NHS. During this time, the poor quality of care she witnessed ignited a passion within her to do much better by establishing her own care home.

Our Mangers

We are most fortunate to have two very experienced Managers at the helm at Sunnymeade Quality Care. You will find information about their background in care summarised below:

Our Registered Manager

Lindsey Davies

Lindsey was appointed to our staff in October 2021, to work alongside Jackie Lamey as Registered Managers at Sunnymeade. Lindsey has an impressive C.V. covering 25 years of experience in the field of care at various levels. Her passion for working with the elderly has led her to develop her knowledge by achieving the following qualifications:

Over the years Lindsey has gained a wealth of experience in every aspect of care which has equipped her well for the important role of joint Registered Manager and given her great insight into the duties performed at every level. She is ever mindful that her care staff face difficult challenges on a daily basis, therefore always makes herself available to offer insightful advice, support, and additional staff training when necessary.

Lindsey’s passion, alongside general care, is nutrition. She recognises the importance of a good balanced diet in improving general health and in helping to alleviate symptoms caused by medical conditions. This interest led her to spent time researching the subject and to devising nutritionally balanced meals for those in her care.

Lindsey’s positive attitude towards life is infectious which lifts the spirits of those around her. By ‘modelling’ her high expectations and ‘leading by example’ she constantly strives to improve the quality of care at the home, which positively impacts those who are in residence here.

Our Registered Manager

Jackie Lamey

Jackie Lamey joined us in February 2021 as Deputy Manager. Within a very short period her excellent management skills soon earned her promotion to the role of Manager, a responsibility she shares with her colleague Lindsey Davies.
Jackie’s interest in working with the elderly, particularly those with dementia, was ignited many years ago when a close relative was diagnosed with the illness. She now has seven years’ experience in the field of care ‘under her belt’ and during this time has been rewarded for her hard work and dedication with several promotions – i.e., to Team Leader, Deputy Manager and to Manager.

Jackie thrives on the collaborative nature of her work and is extremely proud to have been a member of care teams who were awarded ‘Outstanding’ in the area of ‘Care Provided’ by CQC in 2014 and 2018.
“I believe we should all work together to overcome the challenges we face ‘each and every day’ to achieve the very best outcomes for those we have the privilege of caring for”.

In 2018 Jackie also had the honour of being recognised by Plymouth City Council as ‘Deputy Manager of the Year’.
Jackie’s qualifications are as follows:

Our Administrator

PAM CROWLEY

Pam Crowley has been with us since 2007 and her organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial to keeping us on the ‘straight and narrow’ in all important aspects of administration. Pam supports the care team by working in partnership with Wendy Adams, Lindsey Davies and Jackie Lamey to ensure that everything runs smoothly from an administrative perspective.
